Learning American Sign Language opens the door to a new way of communicating and a deeper understanding of Deaf culture and the Deaf community. Whether you want to communicate with Deaf family members, friends, coworkers, or people in your community, or you simply want to learn a beautiful visual language, ASL can create meaningful connections.
Becoming comfortable with ASL takes time and practice. Our Beginner ASL Program is designed to help you build your skills gradually and confidently through four levels of beginner study. Each level builds on the one before it, helping you continue developing your skills and become more comfortable communicating in ASL. We welcome you to begin with the course that best fits your current experience and comfort level, then continue building your ASL skills from there.

Judi’s ASL classes are amazing. For the entire class period, I was mesmerized by her knowledge of and passion for the language. She didn’t just teach us vocabulary—she shared all aspects of the Deaf world in a non-intimidating manner. Because I am a hard of hearing adult who began losing my hearing in my mid-40’s, I have attended ASL classes in various states. Nowhere have I felt as welcome and learned as much as in Judi’s classes.
